LEIGH FRANCIS

Leigh Francis- founder, owner and operator of Gippsland Game Harvesters has worked tirelessly to provide a service with multiple avenues for farmers and land owners to eradicate any and all pest animal species.

Gippsland Game Harvesters started out as a Field Game Harvester supplying human grade meat to meat processors, but has quickly grown to work in cooperation with HVP, South Gippsland Landcare Group, Engie, Indigenous Designs, R & R Outfitters, just to name a few. 

Leigh is able to provide an initial consultation, surveillance programs to fully gauge the numbers of pest animals present and implement any harvest /eradication work required in safe and humane ways.  Leigh provides a free on-site farm assessment to go over property needs, boundaries, guidelines, specifications and any health and safety issues that could potentially arise. Leigh uses specialized licensed equipment and processes for discretion such as suppressors to ensure all programs are completed with minimal disturbance to neighboring homes and farms. 

Leigh holds a plethora of licenses including:

  • Category A, B & D Gun Licence

  • Ariel Platform shooting certification

  • Silencer / Suppressor Permit - Permit to posses, carry and use silencers under the FIREARM Act 1996. 

  • Commercial Drone Licence

  • PRIMESAFE Game Meat Processing Facility Licence- Harvest Vehicle accredited.  Licence #00136

  • PRIMESAFE certificate of approval as a Game Meat Field Harvester - KH06810681

  • Commercial Kangaroo Harvest - Firearm Proficiency Course.

Leigh has worked in the slaughtering / butchering field for over 25 years, he has been a hobby hunter come professional shooter who lives and breathes providing a professional, safe and humane program for all consumers he comes into contact with.
